....... My daughter has been potty trained day & night since her 2nd Birthday but my friends little girl will be 3 in May & she still is in nappy's. Was my child just really advanved or is my friends little girl really slow? I keep telling her she needs to potty train her but everytime we meet she is still in a nappy. What does everyone else think?
I've always been 'special' sadly... My mum didn't like me for 3 days after I was born :c( (Well who could like a child who sticks their foot out first (forcing emergency surgery), and then comes out with eyes wide open, full control of their head (I eyed the doctors apparently) and not crying... It does sound like somthing out of Damien!)
I'd like to point out I'm instantly loveable these days.... well likeable.... Alright, I'm tolerable... actually, sometimes I'm mainly just approachable...You know what, I reckon waking the dead is on iplayer about now.. ;0)
In my experience most children become dry through the day between 2-3 yrs. There is a few who do this much earlier but its not common now. Girls usually are quicker than boys at it. Of course like others have said they are all different and some children do not want to do it and are still in nappies when starting nursery at 3.5yrs. I have never known any child in Reception class not potty trained though lol so I am sure your friend's daughter will do it when she is good and ready. And I dont think your daughter was particularly advanced to do this and think it does sound like you are bragging if I'm totally honest. Plus if you are a proper friend you wont tell her she has to potty train her daughter at all.
