Freeola email addresses
I have used Freeola's free email domains which work fine - when they work! Unfortunately their service network frequently has problems as can be seen here:-

I'm reluctant to make changes unnecessarily, but does anyone know of another free source? I do have a regular domain and address with another service provider but it can occasionally be useful to have one or two separate email addresses.

I prefer to use an email service which allows POP3 access (via an email client, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or Windows Mail) as well as web-based access.
Most free services don't offer POP3 access. Of those that do, Google's own GMail is by far the most well known:

but some people don't like GMail because of privacy concerns:

I use Gawab which provides just what I want, with no advertising. See my first post here for details of how to create an account (including how to set up Outlook Express, or similar, to work with it):
