VCR

MY VCR will not record pre timed programmes anymore. I always have it set to record something during the day whilst Im at work and its been ok like this for years, but since last week, I get home and find it hasnt taped. Ive checked and double checked and everything seems fine so I dont know what the problem can be. Any ideas ? Thanks

To cover the obvious first....

Have you still got a analogue signal in your area for it to record? because if you've had the digital switchover your VCR will be useless for recording unless you connect it to an external freeview box.

We havnt yet switched over and we have a freeview box already. I can record, if Im sat there to do it manually but not if I pre set the time even though everything has been checked and its all ok
