How annoying grrrr!
9 Answers
Today in a very well known baby clothes store I was looking for a fleece type sleepsuit for my toddler. I found something that was supposed to be for dressing up but would do and was about to go buy it when I noticed the sales clothing. There were 2 rails and big signs saying buy one get one free. I then saw a thomas the tank suit which was exactly what I wanted so I picked it up and spent a while choosing the free item that I could get with it. I eventually selected something and even walked right to the other side of the store to put back the other suit before going to the till. So as soon as the fleece was scanned I was told that's not in the sale. I told the woman it was with all the other sales stuff and it was obvious I was a tad annoyed but she just replied oh someone will have left it there. Thats not my problem is it! I dont suppose it was their fault but I do think they shouldnt have been so godamn miserable about it. Has anything annoyed anyone else today?!

The tomatoes and cabbages are coming up nicely after the couple of days of rain. The corn has sprouted and the rhubarb and asparagus are both ready to eat. All the trees in our little orchard didn't get frost bitten this year so it looks to be a great harvest this fall. I'll take a small aggravation at the store over another late frost any day. I'll stay away from stores today just in case.
Can understand why you were a bit put out tiggs ,but as a lowly till gal (ok, old woman) I see it from the other side too.
That poor woman's probably had a day full of lazy ar$e customers who couldn't be bothered putting stuff back where they got them from (thats what shop workers are there for right?) and she's sick to death of telling other customers that an item dumped willy nilly isn't necessarily a sale item just because it was there.
Incidentally, did both items you picked up have sale or reduced to clear stickers on them?

Yes, they have. My stupid admin manager at work. Nothing better to do than annoy us admin staff. Sent us an email saying that from now on, by 3.30 pm each day, we have to e.mail her with details of (a) how many piles of typing we've got left to do, and (b) what is the oldest date of the tapes. Fine, Ok, but she never reads her e.mails for a week ..... Oh, this is the NHS by the way ....
My daughters pregnant and we have been in that "very well known baby clothes store" a lot. I believe there sales practice leaves a lot to be desired. Every large item we tried to buy was "out of stock" but could ordered. Which is all very well if you haven't travelled miles to get there, it happened every time in three different stores.
We ended up buying certain items from "a very well known toy shop" and to our suprise at smaller prices.
