I have been correcting the Chief Executive of Easyjet on Breakfast TV as she knows not the difference between fewer and less. Old habits die very hard for me. Sorry to say it, but some grammatical errors make me wince ☺
I too hate bad grammar, but I wouldnt correct anyone, I would just cringe and accept it I suppose. We all have our little imperfections. My OH on the other hand, is terrible. His blood boils when people use bad grammar, especially on radio or tv. His pet hate is ` revert back to `. I know how hes going to respond as soon as he hears it, and close my ears.

True boxy. They don't seem to put the same emphasis on grammar, terminology and spelling at schools in English classes these days (Am I allowed to call it English - is that somehow racist or whatever -ist is appropriate?!)
My children were at secondary school 10 years or so ago, and even then I was appalled at how little they were taught about the basics of language as we were.
