put the peel of a lemon in a bowl of water microwave on medum for 10 mins then wipe out the insiide with kitchen paper then wipe with a strong bicarb solution
A container of baking soda might do it. I don't like curry so it's not a problem. Several internet sites recommend lemon juice cooked for a few minutes will help.

thanks both!
...and, when you're done with the above, leave the door open for as long as possible (overnight, after unplugging?).
always put a bowl of water in the microwave after cooking and ping for 3 mins this removes strong odours, lemon peel , lemon juice or pinch of bicarb in the water will speed things up.
If the whole place reeks invest in one of those freshaire spheres they work wonders.
I just wipe out the microwave and leave the door open.
