I had a total hip replacement nearly 2 years ago. I am 45 years of age and at first i didnt have much pain, but in the last six months have been suffering again and the pain is worse than it was before the op.Do i need to up my pain medication or see my doctor? I asked at my gps if they knew what type of joint the used but they had no idea. Apparently there is a problem with some of the joints, do i have to go back and see my consultant to get the info i need. Also what types of exercise or ok to do after hip replacement. Is Zumba a step too far. TIA
so far as exercise best to wait until the joint is reassessed otherwise swimming so long as you use a straight leg kick rather than the frog kick is supposed to be safest
Up date on my Hip replacement pain. I went to my gp yesterday and has said i could be suffering with trochanteric bursitis. The are going to try a joint injection of steroids, so hopefully that will help my pain. thank u all for you help and input x
