Oral Thrush.

After taking a course of antibiotics I've got thrush on my tongue. Any tips on how to get rid? Thanks

Thanks yogi, I'll get some unsweetened yogurt,i never knew it was good for clearing up thrush. Damn antibiotics, every time Im on em i get thrush:-)

Just had another thought......If you dont fancy an appointment at your Doctor's, you could try asking your local pharmacist, as they would know what over the counter treatment is best to sort out your problem. Some folk find them sometimes better than a Doctor at times.

Go to the pharmacist and get their own version of diflucan (I've probably spelt that wrong). No point in dilly dallying around, these thrush tablets get rid of it completely from whatever part of your body.

No worries, chinadog..........antibiotics have different side effects and that's why you probably get the tongue thrush.

I sometimes get a rash on my chest.......looks like i've had a wax....lol.....goes after a day or two.

Hopefully after a few days it will clear up and you get kissing again :0)

CD is spot on.......think there may be a spray version too that you can use......as China says, the Pharmacist will know. :0)

Thanks yogi and Chinadoll, Yeh I could ask the pharmacist, I have'nt heard of difucan China but I'll ask. I scrape my tongue but it never works and NO, I wont eat any songbirds OG:-)

Yoghurt will work but it will take "weeks"

Sorry if I'm a bit late but... Supermarket 'own label' Canestan tablet works a treat. I have to take them due to steriod inhalers giving me oral thrush.

Dactarin oral gel from the chemist will help sort it in your mouth. You can use that and a diflucan tablet.
