Stray Cat
Hiya.. since about 6am this morning, there's been a cat outside our house, it seems to be ok, scruffy looking, but fairly well fed by the look of things. We've never seen it before, and it doesn't belong to any of our neighbours, well the thing is it keeps wailing, and wandering around, but we can't get near it to catch it or see up close if its injured! Now were not sure what to do.. should we feed it..or just let it do its own thing! I would hate to think its hungry etc... but I dont want to encouage it if it belongs to someone! Funnily enough we have to cats, that have been outside while were trying to get near it..and they don't seem in the slightest bit worried about another cat being around, normally the'd both go nuts at the sight of another cat!! Any idea's anyone? Ta everso..Mrs Crisper xx

Do put down a little food, and more importantly, water - I am hoping that someone is doing this for my missing cat.
A stray cat is more likely to go to a house with other cats, in the hope of finding a nice person and some spare food.
See if you can gain its confidence and perhaps be able to get it to stay in your garden (is there a shed?), then you can call the local vet and/or pet rescue and see if a cat fitting this description has been reported. Even if he doesn't stay in your garden, someone (like me) will be glad to know of a sighting even if you can't catch him.
