Generally speaking, they advertise. I used to hear regular ads on the local radio when I used to drive to work and back.

The only one I know of is the Common Cold Research Centre in Cardiff, but you need to have a cold to go there. They have a number for volunteers to phone [phone].

There's a Pfizer Research Centre at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, they advertise in our local papers - they are usually very specific e.g. fit healthy men between the ages of 18 and 30, etc.
