Young people can be very amusing can't they?

There were four of them here (boys of course) larking about. After a bit they disappeared and shortly after I went out into the kitchen to clear up their mess. I heard a far away voice calling "Grandma" "Yes?" I shouted back, arms up to the elbows in washing up water. No answer but again "Grandma" "What?" I yelled. Went into the porch and opened the back door, no-on there, but "Grandma. let us out, " right by my shoulder. I turned to the cupboard under the stairs and pulled the bolt back and out came three rather dishevelled young lads. "Billy locked us in" they were all grinning and swearing vengeance on Billy. The looks on their faces were priceless. I laughed with them. Don't know what they did with Billy when they found him!

Whilst in the middle of giving a very lively! class a spelling test of words of high frequency, I commented '..now concentrate on this, or I'll be getting to the end of my tether!' When the work came in for marking one child had mistakenly written 'tether' instead of the required spelling word - spelt correctly of course!
