There were four of them here (boys of course) larking about. After a bit they disappeared and shortly after I went out into the kitchen to clear up their mess. I heard a far away voice calling "Grandma" "Yes?" I shouted back, arms up to the elbows in washing up water. No answer but again "Grandma" "What?" I yelled. Went into the porch and opened the back door, no-on there, but "Grandma. let us out, " right by my shoulder. I turned to the cupboard under the stairs and pulled the bolt back and out came three rather dishevelled young lads. "Billy locked us in" they were all grinning and swearing vengeance on Billy. The looks on their faces were priceless. I laughed with them. Don't know what they did with Billy when they found him!

when we moved in, (we have lots of cupboards) our sons played hide and seek. Older idiot locked himself in one. Took us 10 mins to find his voice but could have left him there for longer.
(In hindsight, wish we had, it would've been cheaper)

Mrs. O. Yes boys will also be little b*****s. They are all hardened cases round here but I love them all, and I hope they are at least a little bit fond of me.

I think they were quite relieved when I let them out alba. It is quite dark in there and I expect there are spiders at least two feet wide.

I used to do supply teaching in primary schools. Whilst in the middle of giving a very lively! class a spelling test of words of high frequency, I commented '..now concentrate on this, or I'll be getting to the end of my tether!' When the work came in for marking one child had mistakenly written 'tether' instead of the required spelling word - spelt correctly of course!
