Brake Time

The missus is giving out about how long our mechanic took to fix her car. Here's what was wrong:
Nearside brake disc wore down so low that the piston popped out and all the brake fluid spilled out. This is because, under further examination, the offside caliper had seized and as a result the nearside disc and pads were doing all the work. The 'better' half never noticed or mentioned the steering pulling to one side under braking. So we left the car in with our mechanic.
I dropped up a new set of pads, discs and flexible hoses (which had seen better days and could do with replacing while the system was void of fluid) along with a replacement caliper from a scrapyard on the Saturday morning, and he had the car delivered back by 4pm Monday. He doesn't work Sunday, to make time to go to Mass. The trouble & strife reckons he was dilly-dallying. I tell her bleeding brakes is no five minute job after a job like this but it is still, apparently, my fault.
So how do you get women to understand this?

Show her this and explain to her bringing used parts to the mechanic means he has to clean and inspect everything. Brake line fittings are incredibly fragile for what they are and you have to be super careful when you unscrew them. Tell her you're sorry that you didn't do a better job and at least the mechanic didn't skimp on taking care of one of the most important parts of the car.
I find that when mine gets irritated over something irrational I just Fosters her off with something that is.

Tempting Dodger666 but I'll still end up paying for it as I'm the only one working. I'd rather it be fixed slowly and properly and put up with the GBH of the ear'ole than have a funeral or two to arrange. She may myther like hell at times but I still love her and couldn't imagine being without her.
And nice suggestion Murraymints but she doesn't have a passport. I offered to take her to Egypt but she couldn't be bothered filling out the forms.
