I have never heard the 'centi-' prefix used with time. Scientists generally prefer to go up or down in powers of 3. So you speak of kilograms, grams, milligrams and micrograms. Nobody ever speaks of a decigram or a centigram (though we do use centimetres and (occasionally) centilitres). So I would call one hundredth of a second '10 milliseconds'.

Centisecond is an SI approved unit of measurement commonly used in such areas as computing (e.g. timestamps) and the study of sound (especially voice analysis and music).

Scientists have no choice but to use steps of the 3rd power beyond milli- and kilo- because intermediate prefixes do not exist, however it is perfectly acceptable to use centi-, deci-, deca- and hecto- with any SI unit.

Isn't one hundredth of a second called a "jiffy" as in, that being its official designated name... I found that out some place random... :l ah well, all knowledge is good knowledge.

Jiffy is not an officially designated time period and means different time intervals depending upon its application, e.g.

In computing, the duration of one tick of the system timer interrupt. Typically, this time is 0.01 seconds.

In physics, the time taken for light to travel one centimetre (sometimes one foot, or sometimes the width of a nucleon)

In electronics, the time between alternating current power cycles (1/60 or 1/50 of a second)

It has also been used for millisecond and nanosecond and very likely for other intervals.
