Didn't know which topic to put this in but does anyone know if there's a way to find out online who owns the flashy yachts you see in marinas abroad just by knowing the name and origin as painted on the yacht?

You might be right, I think Mick T is an undercover agent too.
i think Sqad might - and Mike11111 is converting his into a Gin Palace,to moor on the Tyne -
the answer is No.
I heard an interview with one of the people who were building a massive yatch for Abramovich (the owner of Chelsea football club).

While he talked a little about the boat there was much he could not say as he had signed a confidentiallity aggreement.

I guess this is for security reasons, such as terrorism, kidnap and ransom and so on.

Particularly when you have those scum pirates off the coast of Somalia.

So I doubt there is a nice "look up" list anywhere on the internet on who owns what boat.

(Many may be owned by a company rather than the individual. So Abramovich may well register the owner of his boat under "Russian Dodgy Activities Ltd rather than himself.)

I thought the answer would be no. I'm only being nosey. I often see lovely big boats in the Balearics but occasionally have seen the really huge multi-million pound things and wonder longingly who is so lucky to own one.
