I have had friends who expect you to drop everything for them but won't do the same for you. But I have a very few friends who I will go to the ends of the earth for and I know I can rely on for anything. It's all a matter of finding the right people.
lol!! i was just thinking the same thing myslef tody queenie. I think that we do, or we would become withdrawn and probally depressed. But everyone is allowedsome time to themslefs, and i'm lucky that all my freiends understand that about me. i would surgest for you to find some new ones if your current friends can't accept that about you. xx
karenmac, I have had the same thing. Someone who you think is your friend and who regularly has major crises which make you always drop everything and run to their side, then when you come down with a serious and prolonged illness, and trouble in your family at the same time, they don't want to know. I suspect that it's because they have to be the centre of attention. Sad for them really. Unfortunately I don't have any true friends at the moment, but I'm hoping that will change :)
