Cheaper Car Insurance?
13 Answers
Are there any tips to gain cheaper insurance. Ive only been driving a year last week, but it stills seems excessive.
They are quoting me £1600 etc for a 1.4 engine. 1 claim worth £1300 in march (Even though it was other guys fault)..
I am obviously going to tell the truth when filling out online quote questionnaires, but is there a way to get it cheaper.. If you have more of an excess amount, does this bring it down. I've found that opting for fully comp actually makes it cheaper.
Any tips would be lovely as i'm not the best att hsi kind of thing.

For younger drivers, you can also get a restrictor to stop the car being used at night which significantly helps. Have you checked that they have your employment status correct? The difference between 2 similar sounding job titles can be quite significant. Can you keep your car parked off the road when you are at home? Have you used one or more of the insurance comparison sites. I am sure there is a guide to getting a better deal on the moneysaving expert website too.
Remember it's you adding them on your insurance, not them adding you on theirs and you could actually add anybody you like, as long as you have their correct details. There is nothing stopping you adding your next door neighbours brothers boss to your policy if you really wanted to. I bet you know a couple of people who have been driving for a while who you could enquire about adding.
Have you tried LV insurance?
