Pashley Ladies' Bicycle.
87 Answers
I am thinking of buying a Pashley bike. The creme de la creme of ladies' pushbikes, apparently. However, they don't come cheap - the one I'm looking at is over £600 (but it does have a rather appealing front wicker basket, sprung leather seat and leather handlebar grips).
Before I part with such a ridiculous amount of money, has anyone got a Pashley? Are they the Rolls Royce of bikes or are you just paying through the nose for a posh name and reputation?

The name on the saddle is worn from where it's sat on and has holes in it from when I fell off one day! Bike went one way, I went the other and had to have stitches in my knee, serves me right for going down a hill and not seeing the dry stone dyke!
Enjoy your cycling, sounds very romantic and dreamy.

It's a national sport round here salla - pinching bikes but I can see you have already made up your mind without our comments. Make sure you lock it securely every time you leave it, but that goes without saying doesn't it. Not sure about this, but I think you can be 'done' for being drunk in charge of a bike so watch what you drink doesn't have to have an engine to be dangerous. Someone will probably correct me on this.
Hi Salla, I actually saved up for a Pashley cycle as I knew how good they were and the factory that makes them is local to me. Mine was racing green too, my favourite colour, but after 3 yrs I had to let it go as it was too heavy for me. They are wonderful bikes and now come in a range of colours, as the other poster said they must be good as the Royal Mail use them. I now have a smaller, lighter bike. As it is flat where you live you will be fine as I think most of them are only 3 speed gears, get your flowery dress on and enjoy x
