builders dumping rubble etc in my yard...what can i do?

i do not use my back yard very often and over the last year it has got a bit over grown...however upon clearing it out i discovered a pile of builders rubble, bricks, cement bag, dust, roofing felt, and plaster chips etc in one corner...even poly cups!

the neighbours have had various bits of building work done over the past year...one in which they were in the yard in particular

it is in a position that it can only have come from the neighbours yard... it cannot have come from any of the outer walls...

these builders also dumped a load of corrigated iron and drain pipes in my front yard...i had no proof so they were removed...but in this instance it cannot be doubted..

what is my best course of action? letter?

i dont wish to fall out with the neighbour (though i have never even seen her - would not know her if i fell over her) i dont know if other poeple live there too.

she did take a package in for me once and was very nice, an left it in a local shop for me, and i realise she probably had no idea the builders were doing this, so its not her im angry at.

volume wise there is about enough to fill about 3 full bin bags...

if i write a note, what should i say?

ask her to deal with it? ask her for bulders details? have it removed and bill her? bill them?
how do i dispose of this stuff too? give it to her or them to deal with?

thanks

i think it might be best to go round there and discuss what her position is
if I were you I would just bag it and bin it down your local tip - not ideal and a pain I know but it's a bit late now to deal with in any other way. You can't actually prove anything and not worth starting a feud over. x
............ wasn't me Jokers ............. I have to say the trade is full of "planks", in more ways than one.
I agree with Jim. Get rid of it yourself, but make sure you let her know. Investing in good neighbours is always worthwhile :o)

I think it's too late now to cause any sort of fuss, if you haven't noticed it until now. Just keep alert for any further work being done next door!

im pretty sure it was done in the last few months, as thats when they dumped the pipes etc... but i will mention it and see what she says
Why not just tell her about what has happened like we all used to do! You said she seems nice? Probably normal? Take it from there, with the implied idea that her builders should return to remove their rubbish?
