Regarding Virgin Birth - let's assume that the bible is truth and the virgin birth occurred per the gospel (even if, like me, you think it's fable.)

Mary is made pregnant by God.
If it was not with her consent, then that's rape and God has committed an unspeakably awful crime.
If it was with her consent, then she's a fornicator (possibly classed as adultery if she was due to marry Joeph)...?

Just a thought from a bored mind...

apparently its a translation error, the original word used meant "young woman" not "virgin"

As is typical of the faithful, Cowtipper completely avoids the issue and posts an irrelevant question as a distraction.
Cowtipper, I can assure you that "love, honesty, forgiveness, compassion and self-sacrifice" exist in people who don't believe the Jesus story and in others who have never even heard of him. It is typical Christian arrogance to assume that such qualities didn't exist until 2000 years ago.

Come out of your cocoon of dogma and doctrine occasionally and look at the world around you. You might be surprised.
