the calendar on my wiidows sidebar has stopped showing the date, any suggestions on how to fix the problem, thanks.

Try this:
1) Open Elevated Command Prompt (type cmd into the widows search bar)
2) Type regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll and press Enter key
3) You will notice a dialog box showing the message DllRegisterS erver in vbscript.dll succeeded as shown in above figure.
4) Click OK button in the dialog box.
5) Restart your computer
