Parent and child parking spaces

Why are these spaces always nearest the door of supermarkets? Is it because when you become a parent you lose the use of your legs?

That is ridiculour conehead, I hope the supermarket realise if she does it more than once - and gives no sense of responsibility or the way to behave to the child, either. I know how upset I was when I got lost as a child - it sounds irresponsible to me.

no its bacause thats where they put them. I dont have a child but park as close as i can.

Judging by the ratio of spaces there are far more registered disabled drivers out there than parents with young children.

We used to 'borrow' our grandchildren when shopping. Parking near the entrance in the rain was worth two bags of sweets!!!
