1. Insurance for the container, you would be suprised how many go missing over the side.
2. Import duty and VAT on top of shipping.
3. An SVA test once you have it landed (single vehicle approval)
I'd ask the shipping company to get you a "landed" cost. Their are companies out their who deal with the whole shibang, but it cost about 4k all in for a 15k ish car.

Container is the most secure. but the most expensive. You may be able to get a shared 40' container which will help bring the cost down. RoRo (roll on roll off) is the cheapest, but the car will be "handled" by many unseen people, so it depends on your trust in your fellow man. Another dissadvantage with RORO, is that you cannot fill the car up with loads of goodies. The price is for the car and normal accessories (jack, spare wheel ect.). You must list any extra items and they will charge you for shipping even though they are contained within the car.
Remember that you will be charged import duty and VAT on both the cost of the car and the cost of shipping. SVA normally applies to vehicles less than ten years old (that may have changed so check with VOSA). From memory you can get RORO from Jacksonville FL and container from Miami FL.
Finally, check out a price from a US based shipping company. I have found that while a UK company quoted 875 for RORO Newark NJ to Liverpool an American agent got me $925.
Good luck.

When shipping cars overseas, there are many things to be considered. The first factor worth thinking about is which method of shipment you would like to use for your overseas car shipping or overseas auto transport. There are two conventional ways of shipping a car overseas: the RoRo Ship or the container. Each of these methods have different prices and car shipping rates for shipping cars overseas
The RoRo overseas car shipping method which cheaper allows for your car to be driven directly onto the ship for transport. It is then secured in place by the use of straps and braces as well as wooden blocks to prevent movement during overseas auto shipping.
The container method involves loading the vehicle into a container for overseas auto transport. The containers available include a 20 ft. as well as a 40 ft. model. The difference between the two is that a 20 ft. container can only fit one vehicle, whereas a 40 ft. container can fit two vehicles. This is can be less expensive than RoRo method.
Some international auto transport companies offer international car transport of vehicles and goods, and can provide you with a quote in a matter of minutes to get an estimation cost of shipping, for example of auto transport company available on overseas shipping is http://a1autotranspor...hipping-cars-overseas
