How do I get music from my extensive CD collection onto an Ipod (haven't bought it yet)?  HELP!

Wait until you get it then read the manual.
Or, use the time to research DAPs and you will soon realise there are a lot better ones than ipods. But if an ipod rocks your boat, then go for it ;-)
with the iPod, you use software called iTunes to get music from your CDs ("ripping"), and put that music onto your iPod. it also organises and plays your music very well on your computer for you too.

if you have a lot of CDs, and will maybe be wanting to try out your iPod immediately (after initial charging), then I can suggets ripping your CDs now.

it's a free download. get it, see how to rip your CDs, and you'll be all set for getting your iPod.
