Hi! This morning none of my freeview channels were working, it kept saying no signal and my tv guide was all blank for every channel so i swapped to the 'old fashioned' channels 1-5 on normal tv.....now i cannot get my freeview back, not even to get my tv guide up, its like iv swapped the inputs and i cant work out how to get back to digital tv. Iv tried re-tuning but its only searching for the normal analogue channels ( 1- 5 ) any ideas? Thanks

This manual seems to cover many LG Plasma sets:

If the instructions shown there apply to your set, take a look at your remote control. The button at the top left should have the label 'TV' above it, and the letters 'D/A' actually on it. That's the button that switches your TV from analogue mode (which it's currently in) to digital mode (which is what you're seeking).

I'm thinking that you are using an integrated TV (Digital channels AND analogue BUILT-IN? Probably because you have analogue TV selected on TV.
Look for DTV selection or Digital channels and scan again.
Would have helped if you stated which TV you have.
There IS a possibility you have a Freeview box added on tho .. Please state which it is!
OK sorry ...Missing something here.
Chris is right ... ackle the TV input button and then rescan.

hiya thank you both for your replies. My telly is LG plasma model number 50p j550 and yes it has the freeview built in.

The button on the top of my remote says tv/radio, I have been pressing that but nothing happens, i cant see anything that says DTV.
Is there a button which says AV?
I was expecting the remote control to look like this:

(If yours looks fairly similar, note where the 'D/A' button is there and look for it on your own model)

AlBags yes that is our remote...I have been pressing the AV Mode button at the top but that only changes the colour quality e.g cinema, sport, game..... I have also tried the input mode but the only options i have are to swap between antenna (channels 1-5) or AV1 ( which is the xbox )
On that picture from AlBags, there's a button labelled 'AD' on the bottom row.

Given that you're trying to switch from Analogue to Digital, that might well be the one you want!

right, we have messed with the wires at the back of the telly and the hubby seems to think that one of the cables had come loose, we are now re-scanning and now the telly has picked up 79 DTV programmes so its looking very promising because last time i rescanned it only picked up 5 channels on normal TV
Thanks for all your help, much appreciated :)
So you pulled the antenna connection : /
