Dog in Malawi....

I caught a few minutes of a programme last weekend, about a dog in Malawi (I presume it was a stray). The poor thing was severely underweight, had an eye infection and was feeding pups. It also had something wrong with its leg. I think I heard a vet say the leg would have to be amputated.

Then my niece couldn't bear to watch any more and changed the channel. The outlook didn't look good for the poor wee thing. It was in such a bad way, I thought the vet would put it to sleep.

Did anyone see it? Please could you tell me the outcome? Thanks for any replies peeps. x

Sorry, Mrs Chappie, I didn't see it, but it sounds awful, the poor thing. Lets hope there was a happy ending, at least for the pups anyway. I can't bear programmes about animals suffering, it affects me terribly.
