What has happened to the lady, dont know her name, who sang so beautifully with the Beautiful South please?

Briana Corrigan sang on the first album, Jackie Abbot joined later on.

Jacqui Abbott left a couple of years ago. Apparently she was feeling undervalued and just walked out halfway through a tour. Not sure what she's up to now.

The redhead Briana Corrigan left The Beautiful South in 1993, she sang, and recorded with Palace Brothers and then Damon Butcher in 95; she released a solo album and 2 singles in 96, married in 98 and acted the part of a casino prostitute in a tv movie, The Count of Monte Christo in 2002. That's all the info I have. As for her replacement in TBS, Jacqueline Abbott, all I know about her was that she was discovered singing in her garden, by TBS. She was a supermarket employee in St Helens before joining TBS, but where she is now is anybodies guess.

When Jacqui Abbot left the Beautiful South, it was around the time of the release of the 'Painting It Red' album. The band are still working as a five piece, and from what I can gather,although this is unconfimed (anyone?), are working on a new album.
