wen i put a gamein my ps2 the picture is great , but wen i put a dvd in the picture is all green
wat can i do to solve this?????

The cable that plugs into back of your playstation for the picture, unplug it and put it back in firmly, also check the scart cable/red, white, and yellow cables are plugged into the TV properly, I used to get this problem, but jiggling the picture cable at the back of the PS2 when the film was playing seemed to do the trick.

Also, it could be your TV, my scart sockets on my old TV were wasted, when I ad something plugged into them I would have to stack either books or something underneath to get it to work, if you're using scart sockets, see if your TV has the red white and yellow circle sockets on the front or back and plug your playstation into them, they might be underneath a cover though...

I assume you are using an RGB scart cable?

If so then that is the problem. Sony disabled RGB output for DVD's in the PS2 - and if you try it you get a green picture (as you have discovered). Your guess is as good as mine as to why they did this.

Things you can do:

Use a different type of connection (s-video would probably be the best bet, RF will work too but the picture won't be up to much)

There used to be a special disc you could get that would force the PS2 to allow RGB playback for DVD's (think it was called 'DVD Region X'). It also allowed the use of any region dvd! I had on of these discs and it worked great. If it's no longer available then I sure there will have been other variants released

I do remember there being a way to enable RGB output by opening up the console and soldering certain points together. I never had this done so don't know if it worked!

I must point out that the above info is based on when I had a PS2 - from launch day. I don't know if Sony carried on disabling the RGB output in later models of the console?
