is it harder to loose weight once your in your forties?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Actually yes... its something to do with hormone shifts but the effect doesn't last and once past the menopause if you are otherwise fit it should be easier ( but because some women slow down in late middle age it only seems harder) But at this point the way fat is deposited tends to change to a more male pattern of abdominal fat rather than on our curvy bits
Unfortunately, for a lot of people bread is one of the main causes of weight problems, holds fluids in the body as well so that doesn't help. If you could try to cut out the bread you might find it a little easier to lose the weight (with exercise etc etc) though I realise cutting out bread when you have to have lunch out is very difficult to do. Best of luck though, I hope you manage it.
