the gareth gates lookalike kid will win, its all about image rather than talent..thats why these acts that win these type of shows usually don't last more than 5 minutes.

I think it's law of averages as well. For every one that fails there is one that succeeds; Michelle McManus/Will Young or Hearsay/Girls Aloud. It's easier capturing the public's imagination by performing every week but you need talent to ensure longevity. And not automatically doing a predictable cover version as your first release helps!

I thought that the Louis/Simon thing is just a bit of pantomime to draw us in. Neither Chico or the girl group could sing well so will not win. Louis knew it too so as far as letting either through to next week it didn't matter, but it makes better tv.

As for the winner the bin man has it - great story and he'd got two lovly kids too.

I agree janny, chico gives me the creeps.

I want Brenda or Chenai to win.  Or Andy!  I agree with tiger that the arguing between the judges is a pantomine - they play it up for the camera big time.

I can believe Chico got through. Both acts were not very good, however about the Simon/louis thing - Simon is correct Louis is a pratt, and what was that gesture about before he gave his answer? Smug git. At least Chicos good to look at even though he cant sing!

I agree that both acts didn't do themselves any favours, but I can't believe that no-one has mentioned the fact that Chico already has record singles & pop videos, and his own fan club & website. These music biz people must know whose out there. One song has even played on radio one (not prime time) Because of this I think it would have been nice to see the girls get another week (cos probably that's all they'd get).

I watched it last week for the first time and although the two blond lads journey south i think,were good and one or two others were passable the rest of the acts went from below average to absolute garbage..typical i'm afraid of reality talent shows, full of dire bland ballads already done to death thousands of times..

Well Janny a bit late but watched last night as was partying! I think the finalists are OK but not X factor - would love to have seen the 80 year old with the walking stick in the final and seen what they would have done with her - if I could do that at 80 odd be a miracle! Chico is cruise ship, girls deserved to go, Brenda provided a bit of a belt, Journey South were good. And what did you think of Sharon's hair??
