G.Ps update (shoulder pain)
7 Answers
Today I went to see the Doctor who would give Me the steroid injection, except He said He would'nt..
He said it would take 7 to 10 days to work and we need to know what the problem is.
So I have to wait untill Monday to go back and see their Phisio who will tell me what is wrong and what needs to be done.
Untill then I have to take 23 pills a day, as this makes Me feel ill I'm taking what I need when I need it.
The pain is still a 10 (pain scale) but with all the pills is about a 6..

No amount of physio would have cured it. I did a it of research myself, discussed my treatment with my GP and am very happy with the result.
Thank you Arwyn - started getting pains in my shoulder middle of Nov but just thought it was because I'd been doing a lot of physical work outside in the cold then sitting at the computer. Then went to Africa for a couple of months (made the mistake of doing a lot of swimming - crawl - which I don't think help the problem but at that time just thought it was stiffness)Came back - saw GP- sent for xray -inconclusive then physio-too painful for physio so sent for MRI scan-problem detected so booked in for bone scan (I've had cancer)- showed a problems- in orthoepedic surgeon - this was very quickly arranged at pvt hospital. so all in all a longish time from start to finish but was out of the country for a long time!
