I am currently cross with the RSPB as ever since doing their garden birds survey I have been receiving via e-mail and post appeals for money; I will not do their survey again because of this. You are right, it is harrassment.
when my grandaughter was about 7 she saved up £5 to give to a Wildlife charity, I sent an accompanying letter to say she was a child and it was a one off. We got bombarded with glossy phamplets etc that must have cost over her £5 donation to print and send ad they said they could t stop her name was in their system, I sent everyone back and after about 6 months they stopped. Never again ! also these people who stop you in the street and try to get to sign a monthly sum over, they get paid to do that work and the payment comes from your donation ! when they stop me I always ask politely "are you getting paid by this charity ? when they answer yes I say not from me you not !
The British Red Cross might do good work in the UK but Mr Sa worked in Angola for 5 years and he said every week the Red Cross there had one big party free booze and food for all their many guests and families, he said it was a disgrace.
