My daughter Kerrie has the unusual middle name cydonia (my great grandmothers name)
my son Ryan has the middle name Harrison (after Harrison ford) my late hubby was a huge fan.

when I was teaching I had a pupil called Ophelia. I've never come across anybody since with that name until Mrs C's post. Not a name I'd give, it reminds me of the painting of her floating dead in the stream.

Yes in Hamlet. That's the only Ophelia I think of. In the play she goes slightly mad and drowns in a river. A tragic character.

I know of a Gordon Bennett and a Richard Head, which obviously was great fun at school for all but him when it was shortened to Dick head!
