What's the most romantic present you've ever bought anyone?

Last christmas I tracked down an old 45 vinyl of Acker Bilk's Stranger on the Shore. I had it mounted and framed with the following inscription:
"I was the Stranger on the Shore.
You were the Sailor on the Sea.
Somehow we met in the middle"
(When we met, almost 5 years ago, he had been sailing since the age of 17, I had always been a landlubber. And yes, we are both what you might call 'strange'.)
He was quite touched.

that's some nice work Salla!
So far, for me, it's been a bit cliched but I've made the effort, the odd rose sent on a random day, 21 roses for her 21st, little things just picked up as a souvenir of a nice day, that type of thing. I write her lil poems too, just daft ones usually but it's us!
She bought me one of those 'but a star' gift set thingies at Christmas, it's invisible to telescopes so I'll never see it, but I was made up 'cus I love things like that and just her thinking of that was great. So somewhere up there there's a star named after us!

Mr LL gave me a tumble dryer one Christmas. Nothing like that happened again. I suppose the most romantic present I have bought him is the holiday I have booked for next year, supposedly when he will be retired (but I doubt he will retire when he should). I had to tell him about it because it requires a Visa and a bit of planning.
We are not romantic people really - neither of us.
