I am trying to tame a back garden full of weeds...it is all slabbed so need to get rid of them so washing can be hung out without needing a syth to get back indoors..i own 2 labradors but keeping them in is not a problem as long as i get rid of these weeds..
Thanks for any answers Elle xx
Its safe for dogs once its dry but don't let them eat treated grass. The trick with any weedkiller is patience. let the weeds be really really dead and withered before you start to remove them. In my garden this has taken 5 weeks for some huge nettles and brambles and some brambles have needed a second treatment. Try and get them out early and they will just regrow. once its clear, treat with pathclear and also get the weeds out when they are small.
& be careful whatever you do choose doesn't make your dogs ill. What about one of those flame weed guns? I've Never used one myself ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk...V&hash=item562d82b64c
where do i pick up that clinic ace grasser sounds what we might be needing...Quassia the one woof linked says it only burns the weeds and not surrounding area Elle
I haven't found a flame weed gun to be of much use actually. It burns the tops of weeds and grass but the roots remain and shoot up again - especially grass between paving slabs.
Oh! Perhaps I have been too drastic then. I will try it again this afternoon (and then pick the grass and toss it in butter and black pepper like cabbage!!) Thanks for the tip Woofs.
