If I never complained then things wouldn't change and if I never explained something then it would cause problems (plus no one could ever cover my job when i'm away).
If it is part of your job to maintain a high-profile, for your employers' sake, it is tricky to do so whilst not offending 'someone'.........if you keep your trap shut regardless of whether you are receiving bouquets or brickbats, it seems to work.
Insurance Company offered me £150 for a TV that had smashed due to the Glass stand shattering, they then went up to £250 final offer, I contacted the Insurance Ombudsman! offer went up to £450, does that answer your question?
Not trying to be a smart @rse, if you have any issues that makes you think you are right with your rights, get a copy of this booklet, Your Complaint and the Ombudsman or check outwww.financial-ombustman.org.uk a lot of people I'm afraid to say do not know their rights & there are a lot of basds out there that will try & take you for a ride, it only takes a bit of searching & we can all do that, ( I'm not a whizz kid) but I will not get ripped off either.
