As software patches will no longer be available with the threat from future trojans or viruses is the use of this software wise for any user with important data or details on their computer?
Also as Internet explorer is part of the package would it be wise to move to another browser?
IE9 cannot be installed directly on any version of Windows XP. The first the installation does is inspect the version of the OS, and won't proceed if it detects XP.
Of course, as is usual with these things, several people with far too much time on their hand had managed to do it manually - totally pointless...

You sound like think Microsoft shouldn't be allowed to innovate! The huge software suppliers all had access to Windows 7 from very early alpha releases...

I find XP the best OS ever from MS. But yes, Windows 7 is great as well. IE is definitely not that great as compared to FF or Chrome. Maybe it's a personal preference.
