Many thanks for your response. I had already checked the HC and I agree there is no "Law" covering this issue and therefore, the police I expect in their busy life are not interested unless they come across a situation that needs immediate attention. It is interesting you note the measurements the traffic warden was taking. That would have been my interpretation.
We have an ongoing issue with a resident who, after reading my letter in the local paper has now "measured out 10 m from the stop line" and placed a post in his lawn!!! and parked his huge 4x4 on the opposite side of the road in line with the post! How sad is that!! The problem is, the vehicles parked are causing traffic that is turning into the road, to pull over and drive on the opposite side to enter the road thereby heading towards any vehicle exiting. The parked vehicles block any view of any oncoming vehicles exiting the road, and result in the vehicle turning in, to virtually STOP on the main road thereby risking a shunt from other vehicles behind.
I intend to follow up my letter or even visit the culprit to try to see reason!
The ironical thing is that he went to great lengths to hassle a visitor to my house (300 yds down the road) who had parked with two wheels on the pavement. Whilst I do not condone this ghastly habit (which seems a common habit and serves no purpose whatsoever) he has a nerve!!
Thanks again for your response.
