I am hoping this will be a useful thread. How about some tips on how to save money. Here's some to start off with:

1. If you are watching tv you do not need the light on. You might think this is minimal savings, but every little helps. And do not leave lights on in rooms you are not using.
2. If anyone offers you anything - take it - if you do not want it there is always someone around who will. Or you can sell it on and make more money.
3. If you have central heating and there is a room you do not use turn off the radiator in that room and shut the door to keep heating in the rest of the house. (This is one for cold weather of course).

Most supermarkets have shelves with damaged goods reduced in price. Have a look to see if there is anything which is worth buying.
We could all club together, and buy a giant AB house, where we could all live. It would save on bills, and we could all talk to each other in person instead of online.

Brill idea, eh?
