Replacement Vacuum Cleaner
9 Answers
After long service our Dyson vacuum cleaner has died and will need to be replaced. I would appreciate opinions on what the new machine should be. Is the Dyson ball model as good as shown on TV or does it have limitations? Is it as heavy as the original cleaner? Alternatively is a Miele machine worth the extra cost? Any other suggestions as to other makes would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The latest Which? reports recommend (if you want a cylinder) Miele and if you want an upright Dyson, Miele or Sebo. The "ball" models of the Dyson are slightly lighter than the original type.
