Hi. I broke my wrist a month ago,and as I cannot drive at the moment, my car is in the garage. I went in just to start it up earlier, and it would not start. I did this last week and it was OK. What do you think I should do, and what do you think is wrong.? Any suggestions would be appreciated. ( I have at least another two weeks in plaster, so I will not be driving anywhere for a while)

Do you think I should not try to start the car until I am able to drive again?
Question Author
Eddie, I would have never thought about the alarm and security system using up the battery
Bobbie, If you do have a charger may I suggest you ask someone living close to you to connect it up for you as you don't want to short out any electronics that may be fitted to your car.
Or just wait and get the AA to do it.

I dont think I would try moonraker. When you lift up the bonnet, it is so packed out in there, I dont think I know where the battery is. How pathetic am I?
It's not pathetic Bobbie, the modern car is not designed for joe public to do anything on them anymore.

Thanks everyone. I will take your advice on board. ie, I will wait until I can drive, and get the AA out. A nice drink to you all x
Take care Bobbs.
