Lord Triesman's accusations of bribery against Jack Warner, FIFA's Vice President will now not be dealt with. Warner has resigned, so all investigation of him is halted and he is apparently, innocent.

// "As a consequence of Mr Warner's resignation, all ethics committee procedures against him have been closed and the presumption of innocence is maintained," said a Fifa statement. //

So that's all right then?

resign from the fifa gravy train?

why would he do that???

doesnt make me wonder
perhaps it was damage limitation on his somewhat already scarred credibility & dignity............???
dead cert hes been handed another brown envelope to go and keep schtum and all charges conveniently dropped.

He himself admiited that the gift culture had been going there for 30 years and he just did what everybody else was doing..so that alright then !
I think I will go work for Fifa
I forget what the expression was they used on the BBC news, but it was a term which translated as "he resigned voluntarily"....
Typical FIFA cover up, corrupt officials yet it's all been swept under the carpet now

Why can't he still be investigated and the findings be revealed even though he's resigned?
Well he had been there 30 years so he has probably had a fair number of "brown envelopes" so can retire in comfort.

Now all we need is evidence against that devious character Sepp Blatter.
he is not promising to go quietly...

/// He and fellow Fifa member Mohamed Bin Hammam are alleged to have paid bribes of £600,000 to Caribbean associations.///

I can understand Jack Warner allegedly paying bribes to Caribbean associations.

But what connections has Mohamed Bin Hammam with the Caribbean he's a Muslim?

But perhaps that is how Qatar got to stage the World Cup?
aog, Bin Hammam was seeking the Fifa presidency; it's suggested the alleged bribes were to do with this

I don't know why the photo appears to show Blazer disguised as a sheep.
Warner might have resigned but he hasn't left the FIFA gravy train - he'll get a lifetime pension of up to £23,000 pa http://www.guardian.c...k-warner-fifa-pension
