About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed my plants had already started producing runners(well before fruiting). I snipped off these presuming that the crop would not be as great if I didn't. The plants are indeed fruiting now.My question is --will there be plenty of runners after cropping has finished,(to use for next year) and was I correct in destoying the "early" runners?

Loop the runners into a plant pot of good compost or soil so that they can start rooting after a few weeks cut the runner from the main plant and there you should have a new one in the pot. It does no harm to the plant by cutting off runners. It just means it has more energy going into it's own strawberrys .

Leave until they`ve finished fruiting, and let them grow several offets, but don`t let them fruit. when rooted cut the line and plant in soil with plenty of compost, and a month before they produce fruit next year feed with blood, fish and bone.

Should I have left the runners that appeared before fruiting started
If they had rooted then `yes`, and then cut them free.

They hadn't rooted.I just felt that it was too early to allow them to continue so I snipped them off.Was i correct?
