I've had the first line of a song stuck in my head.. The only thing is the line happens to be 'Naa na na na naaa na na na naaa na na naa na na naa' LOL I've sang it to my mum but she couldn't think of it either. I know that probably won't help but I've typed it how it's sung!!

It's driving me nuts!

1995ish i think! thanks to all who helped me out!
yup I noticed!
Sorry, I spent 10 minutes humming different tunes before I answered and in the meantime didn't see your post confirming the answer.
Glad you got it.
Your Mum may also have a point. The song took some of the Na Na Na Na from part of Land of A Thousand Dances by Chris Kenner /Wilson Picket in the 60s
I can't find the Chris Kenner original on Youtube but here's wilson picket's version of Land of 1000 dances, part of which I recall was used in Hotstepper

I'm reminded of this song for some reason.

bear with it...the chorus has the na na etch. it is in Fern gully.
Everyone is trying to be very helpful here and suggestions are still coming in, but the answer was established some time ago as Hotstepper.
