I stole this from a place called 'Answer Bank'....

Blakehopeburnhaugh's status as England's longest place name is challenged by the nineteen letter Cottonshopeburnfoot which lies half a mile up the valley, but this does not qualify because the Ordnance Survey spell the name as two words, Cottonshopeburn Foot.
