.............wow! Never thought I could go a day, never mind two weeks! I'm just taking each day at a time. Giving up smoking's dead easy. Done it loads of times!

We'll see.

Well done calva. I remember myself saying the same after 2 weeks, that was over 7 years ago but remember one thing, when the craving starts just say to yourself, its the body that wants the nicotine, NOT ME, it did the trick for me, & still does

There are other benefits. My mate at work saw what I was doing, and two days after I stopped, he said "if you can stop, so can I". And he hasn't had one since either. It's catching!
Well done Calvados. I'm on 101 days now and finding it pretty easy but the first couple of weeks were hard! If you have got through them then you're doing great.

Giving up smoking is catching too. I know 3 other people who have quit since me and I took inspriation to quit from another AB user.

Save up the money and go on a holiday somewhere really great in a year.
thats one of the hardest things i done(15 years ago)and i still have the odd notion.good for you,your doing great,are you on 'patches,gum'??

Thanks everyone. I'm not on patches or anything like that. I believe they are aimed a people who don't want to stop and are just money-makers for these companies. I'm just running on will power.

A mate of mine has one of those plastic cigs, then he will light up a menthol cigarette. Hardly inspiring that is it?

I've gone 5 months now ,and i have to be honest and say im not finding it easy in the least.

I still crave one as much now as i did when i give up back in February and I'm finding it all a bit disheartening. I fully expected the cravings to be less by now- they aren't.

I sort of caved the other day and bought an E Cigarette. It's ok, I guess but not as good as the real thing.

Keep at it if you can, hope i haven't brought you down with my tale of misery, lol. I just have zero willpower and as others have said they've found it easy or at the very least easier.

I gave them up before Christmas..was on 40 a day. Some days I can go without thinking about them at all..other days..I find the craving unbearable.
I found that drinking a glass of iced water does the trick for me...also makes the teeth scream. ( I have fallen by the way side a couple of times..I will admit)

Noraq, can I ask ,how you finding your food intake? I'm eating obscene amounts of food, and i find im going from meal to meal. Before ive even finished one meal im already pondering what i can eat for the next one- its all very depressing :-(
for a person with zero willpower, B00, five months is pretty impressive!
Ya, I was eating sweets and chocolate like a mad thing...but had to stop as the weight shot up and I had worked too hard to shed it originally.

...again..the old glass of iced water helped with that little problem too.
