looking to upgrade to smartphone

im looking into smartphone deals and i found one with 500mb free data i was wondering how much that equated to for instance when looking on facebook and downloading apps, would i be better looking for an unlimited data deal ?

Unlimited is rarely unlimited. Usually there is a 1GB "fair usage policy"

What phone are you considering?

You should be able to pick up a 1GB deal + 300mins & texts for about £20pm.

And is it enough? Plenty if you're only picking up email and doing some light browsing while away from a wifi network. If you're using is a SatNav or wanting to download a lot of video or music while out and about you may want a fair chunk more.

Should be fine then. My experience tells me to avoid Three Mobile by the way - Vodafone are very good if you're in a reasonably built up area.

yes HTC Desire HD it was recommended to me by a friend who has one

Ah, cross posted - your friend agrees with me. Except the one I posted was windows phone 7 as opposed to android.

the HTC 7 looks great , havent mobiles come a long way from the brick phones of yesteryear!! my first phone was a sagem with a pull out aerial lol and a single colour screen well when i say colour it was orange with black lettering lol
