My Windows updates seem to be 'faulty'. Every time I boot up my laptop. there is the update symbol at the bottom of the start menu. When I shut down, I always leave it to download the updates etc, but next time I boot up - there it is again! What is wrong please?

Click on Start type in troubleshooting in the search section and click to open when troubleshooting opens click to open it when it opens scroll down to fix problems with Windows updates and click to open and follow the prompts to repair them after they have been done you will be able to install SP1 if you haven't already done it.
