where is my mother?
9 Answers
Searching for my mothers remains.
After watching all these Long Lost family programmes I have always wanted to find where my birth Mother is buried or her body cremated. She died in 1975 in Marylebone London & have details of her last known address & also death certificate which gives me the name of my half brother who signed it but he does`nt reply to my letter asking for info.
Told to try her local church/cemetery but no luck.

Do you think she was buried or cremated?

as a bit of long shot, try ringing this undertaker and asking whereabouts locally might your mother have been buried or cremated in 1975, they are in the marylebone area ,most undertakers are well established family firms with a wealth of local knowledge. They are legally unable to provide you with any specific information about individuals though:

they actually list the crematoria and cemetaries that they use locally which is very useful

Actually, thinking about this and bearing in mind your mum passed over 35 years ago, I think you should email this undertaker with the details from the death certificate and ask them directly if they were the undertaker for her funeral. If they weren't they may be able to advise you on which undertaker was used.
Well what can I say? Dotty you are a GEM.......... With your help I contacted the undertakers & yes they found my Mother at last! Been searching for 40 years + & then you came along.
Made me so happy!
I have emailed the Crematorium involved & hope to visit West London Crem sometime very soon. Not sure where her remains are but at least I have somewhere to go to say goodbye.
