When I had the central heating put in the builder removed a small copper boiler used for the emersion heater. Also he said the back boiler was in the kitchen and removed that too

I doubt there was a ton of it
It was the smallest of boilers but even so at those prices I bet there was a nice little bit
He also removed all my grey slate tiles and replaced with other non slate tiles
Do you think he could have 'cashed' those in?
Ric-yup the builder has replaced your bangor blues with asbestos sltes-bangor blues are always wanted for either replacing broken ones on old buildings or to put on extensions of old buildings
No builder should ever just assume he can keep these materials.
Not much weight in an immersion cylinder though.......... and the back boiler would have been cast iron with very little scrap value.
As my friend BJ the Bear says, slates are always in demand and can be re-holed and used. He should have split it with you.
