Firefox 5.0 ... Yes or No?

Hey, Guys ... x

One of my lappys keeps asking me to update my Firefox to Version 5.0

What tends to happen with me is that I update things, and then the update turns out to be pants, and full of glitches. I spend the next few months getting updates to the updates, to try to resolve the problems, and I end up wishing I hadn't bothered.

So, to anyone who might know about these things (who COULD I be thinking of?? he he) ...

Should I click "Update" and install Firefox 5.0 ?

Or should I ignore it ?

Be prepared for a load of different answers :)

If you don't use any add-ons that are incompatible yes update, if you have any vital add-ons that are incompatible wait until new versions of the add-ons are available.

I was surprised to find that Firefox updated successfully this time....no glitches so far. Four days and counting LOL

Yes, I too agree that you should update. Essential add-ons such as Adblock Plus and NoScript are both compatible. The only thing I've found that FF5 doesn't like is Avast WebRep, which presumably hasn't been updated yet, although that's only a minor thing anyway.

Using 5 for a week now .. happy.
Had to manually tweak one addon to add to 5 (officially incompatible for 3.5 onwards)

Just a flash download thing that I use for saving porn ... err, I mean music vids.

Yes it will be slow because you are on dial up! get broadband, it's got to cost less these days even for light use on pay per minute dialup!
